Instead of writing, I'm writing about not writing.
Instead of writing, I'm eating pizza. It takes two hands so it basically renders me useless in the writing sense.
Instead of writing, I'm thinking about editing someone else's writing. This is a sure-fire way to put off writing since I'll read someone else's brilliant writing and think,"I can't do that!" or I'll read it and think,"Boy is this crap!" and become resentful that someone's crap is being published while my crap isn't even making it to the page.
Instead of writing, I'm checking my email every 11 seconds to see if someone needs something from me that would certainly take precedence over writing.
Instead of writing, I'm thinking about all the things I want to write about and really, isn't that part of the writing process?
Instead of writing, I'm diddling around on my blog. Really, this thing is a fantastic time waster...!
